ABOUT
Josh Adlerman
Hi! I am Josh, owner/operator/all things maker at Scrapyard Builds.
I’ve been in the makerspace since childhood, and have always loved creating – sometimes ranging from food to full pieces of furniture, what I’m driven by the challenge of making something new, and finding an efficient and unique way to make that happen.
I spent several years in the education sector, followed by some time in technical recruiting, but left in early 2024 to start Scrapyard Builds, a project I’m building to chase passions, make connections, and make and design functional art.

Why Scrapyard Builds?
Scrapyard Builds came from the idea that I can predominantly use “scrap” material to complete projects that people can use. In some cases, this isn’t always possible, but in many cases, it is! What we take “scrap” to mean can range from full on “trash” wood, such as old pallets that companies want to dispose of, to when another maker has bought in bulk and has excess material they don’t know what to do with.
